WATCH: Throwback to the wild start of the 2012 Belgian GP

Ahead of this weekend's Belgian Grand Prix at the famous Spa-Francorchamps circuit, we look back at the manic start to the 2012 when Romain Grosjean triggered a massive crash at the start of the race. 

Lewis Hamilton and Fernando Alonso's, McLaren team mates at the time, race was short lived after Grosjean's right rear wheel knocked Hamilton's left front.

Alonso and Sauber's Sergio Perez were the casualties of Hamilton and Grosjean's accident.

The race was won by Jenson Button. 

Hopefully we don't see many accidents at Spa this weekend. Hamilton currently leads Sebastien Vettel by 24 points as the sport heads into the second part of he season.
