Three-time Formula 1 champion Niki Lauda has died aged 70. The former racing driver "passed away peacefully", his family said on Monday in a statement reported by the Austria Press Agency.

The world of motorsport, especially Formula 1, is still reeling after the passing of the F1 legends on May 20.

A hero to everyone who has known him, intelligent, humble, and very honest in his time. Lauda also gave us some of the greatest battles in F1 with his six-year rivalry against James Hunt.
