Alcañiz, Spain - Williams test driver, Robert Kubica, shows what its like to drive an F1 car fitted with the new Halo safety device.
The FIA has made the safety device mandatory in 2018 in a move to reduce to injuries from flying debris. In July the FIA issued a statment: "With the support of the teams, certain features of its design will be further enhanced.
Having developed and evaluated a large number of devices over the past five years, it had become clear the halo presents the best overall safety performance."
Mercedes too posted a video of what it's like from the cockpit with the halo device fitted, check it out here.
