Malaysia - Before being officially crowned the 2017 FIA Formula One Drivers' World Champion at the FIA Prize giving ceremony in Versailles next week, Lewis Hamilton headed to Malaysia to celebrate the fourth consecutive double championship for the Silver Arrows with the team's title partner Petronas.
Hamilton got on the plane to Kuala Lumpur immediately after wrapping up the final tests of the year in Abu Dhabi.
Upon arriving at the foyer of the spectacular Petronas Twin Towers, the 2017 F1 World Champion-elect was welcomed by thousands of employees and fans, cheering and chanting his name.
Speaking about his season, Hamilton paid homage to the team that helped him secure his 4th world title and that he will continue to raise the bar in F1 racing.
