Shanghai - Red Bull's Daniel Ricciardo claimed his sixth career victory in Formula 1 at the 2018 Chinese Grand Prix.

The Aussie started in sixth place and also had to thank his mechanics for changing his engine after the one blew a turbo in practice.

Mercedes' Valterri Bottas and Ferrari's Kimi Raikkonen finished on the podium with Ricciardo.

Championship leader Sebastian Vettel and Red Bull's were involved in an incident in which the stewards handed the Dutch driver a 10-second penalty for causing a collision.

Max still managed to finish 5th, behind 2017 F1 champion Lewis Hamilton.
