Vettel wins dramatic BritishGP as Hamilton recovers from pole to dead last to second

Sebastian Vettel won a dramatic race in Silverstone as race leader Lewis Hamilton went from pole to last and ended the race in second.

Lewis Hamilton was set to win his sixth home grand prix on Sunday but that is not what was planned.

Ferrari's Sebastian Vettel just sprinted out for the lead when the lights went out and fought tooth and nail to keep the eye on the prize.

He now leads the championship by 8 points.

Kimi Raikkonen crashed into Lewis Hamilton causing the race leader to go from pole to dead last. Raikkonen was later given a 10second penalty during the race, but managed to finish in third place.

The lead had changed hands twice in this race, with the safety car out a couple times as well. No doubt the safety car has helped Hamilton and a few others along too.

Valtteri Bottas lead the race for a while and also raced and defended like his life depended on it. He finished in fourth place.

A total of six retirements in today's race with three of the cars being involved in crashes.

Red Bull's Daniel Ricciardo finished fifth, Renault's Nico Hulkenberg in 6th, Esteban Ocon for Force Indai in 7th, McLaren's Fernandon Alonso in 8th, Kevin Magnussen grabs 9th and Pierre Gasly in 10th for Toro Rosso.
