With the Formula 1 drivers' title and constructors' title wrapped up by Lewis Hamilton and Mercedes respectively, we thought we’d take a moment to delve into the history of some of the circuits on the calendar that have been raced on for decades and see how much they’ve changed since they were built.

Leasing Options identified the most dramatic changes to some of the world’s most famous F1 tracks.

For example, did you know that the Belgium’s Spa-Francorchamps circuit has had 15 major developments since racing began at the site in 1921. 

The 6 circuits that have seen the greatest transformations have been identified as: 

Albert Park - Australia

Red Bull Ring - Austria

Spa Francorchamps – Belgium

Interlagos – Brazil

Silverstone – UK

Hockenheimring – Germany
