Cape Town - The first Formula 1 race of the year, the 2017 Australian GP, is fast approaching and now that all the drivers and teams have been confirmed it's time to see the cars they'll be competing in.

Drivers are currently in preseason testing in Barcelona this week.

Kimi Raikkonen edged Lewis Hamilton for the fastest time in preseason testing on Tuesday, a sign that Ferrari could be regaining its competitive edge.

Raikkonen pushed his Ferrari through a flying lap of 1min20.960 seconds on Day 2 of tests at the Circuit Barcelona-Catalunya.

While Raikkonen barely beat Hamilton's earlier effort by a scant 0.023 seconds, he did so using a slower type of tyre made for greater durability over outright speed.

In case you missed it, here is a list of all the new cars:

Mercedes W08: Lewis Hamilton (GBR) and Valtteri Bottas (FIN)

Red Bull RB13: Daniel Ricciardo (AUS) and Max Verstappen (NED)

Ferrari SF70H: Sebastian Vettel (GER) and Kimi Raikkonen (FIN)

Toro Rosso STR12: Carlos Sainz (ESP) and Daniil Kvyat (RUS)
