Raikkonen collided with Red Bull's Max Verstappen during the opening lap and was forced to retire from the race.

Social media reacts

As television cameras panned around the crowd, a tearful six-year-old, Thomas Danel, was spotted sobbing as Raikkonen crashed on track.

Organisers and Ferrari were quick to react and bring the boy, wearing a Ferrari cap and shirt, into the exclusive paddock area with his family to meet Raikkonen.
