Max Verstappen takes his first pole ever in F1 ahead of Hungarian GP

Red Bull's Max Verstappen grabbed his maiden pole position of his career during qualifying for the Hungarian Grand Prix on Saturday.

Verstappen, who won the German Grand Prix last Sunday, not only won his first pole, but also became the 100th different Formula 1 pole-sitter in the history of the sport.

Dutch fans went absolutely crazy for their hero driver during the last session of qualifying.

Valtteri Bottas will start next to him on the grid on Sunday in P2, with team mate Lewis Hamilton in P3 for Mercedes.

Charles Leclerc is in P4 with team mate Sebastian Vettel in P5. Pierre Gasly is in P6 for Red Bull with McLaren's Land Norris and Carlo Sainz in P7 and P8. 

Romain Grosjean came in 9th for Haas while Kimi Raikkonen rounded up the top 10 for Alfa Romeo.
