Cape Town - Earlier in January 2017, Liberty Media officially has taken over Formula 1 and long-time CEO Bernie Ecclestone has left the sport.

We asked readers whether SA is ready to host a Grand Prix and our poll garnered 22 897 votes.

13599 voters (60%) said "Yes, F1 is huge in SA and it will be amazing!"

1791 voters (8%) said "No, there is not enough interest."

7507 voters (33%) said "No, there's too much corruption."

Dean Barnes: "Definitely supported Good for Formula 1 Good for South Africa."

Chrissy van Tonder: "We love F1 & RSA - they belong together! Kyalami is perfect for tourists & F1! We vote yes."
