Sutil wants to sit tight at FI

BERLIN, Germany - German Formula 1 driver Adrian Sutil says he would like to stay with Force India for the 2014 season after returning to the team in 2013.

He'd been out of F1 for a year.

Sutil told an F1 website on August 13: "If I do my job well and they are happy, there will be good possibilities to stay. Force India will be the first team we talk to about the 2014 season."

Sutil, 30, was dropped by Force India for the 2012 when Paul di Resta and Nico Hulkenberg were named the team's drivers.

TALLYING SOME POINTS

He returned for the 2013 season to partner Resta, finished seventh in Australia in the season's first race, and was fifth in Monaco to collect a total of 23 points.

Resta finished fourth in Bahrain and has 36 points but results for the team in the previous two races in Germany and Hungary were disappointing.

Sutil said: "We had a very strong start to the season but for the most recent few races it's much closer in the midfield so the tension is up but there should be some circuits in the second half at which we can be strong again."

The 2013 F1 season will resume with the Belgian GP on August 25.
