CRASH: Renault's Russian rookie Vitaly Petrov has been handed a five-place grid penalty
Suzuka - Renault's Russian rookie Vitaly Petrov will take a five-place grid penalty with him to the next race in South Korea after stewards here ruled he had caused a collision in Sunday's 2010 Japanese Grand Prix.

Petrov crashed out seconds after the start, spearing hard into the wall after making contact with Nico Hulkenberg's Williams.

The inaugural South Korean GP, provided the new Yeongam circuit passes inspection, will be on October 24.

Petrov is under pressure to perform after being eclipsed by Polish team mate Robert Kubica through the 2010 season and being told by Renault to raise his game.

Kubica, who retired on the third lap on Sunday, has 114 points from 16 races, the Russian 19.
