PARIS, France - A fault with the piston design of Renault's 2015 engine has been identified, according to the French broadcaster Canal Plus.

Problems with Renault-powered teams, Red Bull and Toro Rosso, marred the engine supplier's weekend at the 2015 China GP.

Renault boss Cyril Abiteboul left Shanghai saying he hoped a fix could be identified and put in place in time for Bahrain, despite the turnaround of mere days.
