LONDON, England - Kimi Raikkonen's newly healed back withstood the hefty shunt when the Ferrari driver crashed during Formula 1 testing in Bahrain.
He sat out the last races of 2013 for surgery and physiotherapy to remedy a painful back injury.

When he returned to the wheel of Ferrari's new F14-T car at Jerez in January 2014, he reported: "At least now, on the first day of driving, I did not have any problems. And I don't expect any either, even if you never know what's going to happen."
BAHRAIN CRASH
Raikkonen was involved a significant crash during final Bahrain testing in February 2014 and caused serious damage to the new Ferrari.
He said it caused no damage to his back: "The back has been quite OK since the surgery. I hope it stays that way, but for now it seems pretty normal."
