Madrid - Former Formula 1 driver Jaime Alguersuari says he is retiring from motorsport at the age of 25.
Alguersuari made the announcement through his social media accounts, saying "it's time to move on and mark a new beginning following my dreams and listening to my heart."

He said "we never stop learning and now we need a new path."
Licence suspended
Alguersuari raced for Toro Rosso from 2009 through 2011, and was a test driver for Pirelli until 2013. He twice finished seventh in the 2011 season.
He competed in FIA's Formula E in 2014.
Alguersuari had his racing license temporarily suspended by FIA in 2015 after fainting following Formula E's Moscow Grand Prix.
