MEXICO CITY, Mexico - The 2015 Mexican Formula Grand Prix is already sold out.
While other races - even in key markets such as Germany - have struggled to fill stands it is reported that a full house will congregate at Mexico City's revamped Hermanos Rodriguez circuit on Nov 1 2015.
SOLD OUT 'WITHIN HOURS'
Auto Motor and Sport reported that "within hours" of tickets going on sale recently they were all sold. Tickets are reportedly now appearing on the black market for up to R141 000.
Ferrari will be one beneficiary of Mexico's renewed F1 obsession: local Esteban Gutierrez is the team's reserve driver.
Team boss Maurizio Arrivabene said: "I think Esteban will be the star of the Mexican GP. Maybe we can give him the chance to do a few laps on Friday."
Another Mexican, Sergio Perez, races for Force India.
