Wheels24 milestone

accreditation
Wheels24 has yet again strengthened its position as a leading South African online publication by breaking another readership record in October.

Last month 201 809 South African unique visitors logged onto Wheels24, which is our best readership figure to date.

We are the first motoring website to achieve an SA unique visitor figure of 200 000 too. Our closest online rival was more than 80 000 visitors behind Wheels24.

This is growth of about 30% since the same time last year, which makes Wheels24 one of the fastest growing automotive publication in South Africa.

Wheels24's readership figures are audited by Nielsen-Netratings and the Online Publishers' Association (OPA).

With the current online universe in South Africa estimated at around four million unique users, Wheels24 reaches one in 20 online South Africans.

Also, Wheels24's sister publication News24 again became the first South African website to achieve a local readership figure of more than one million. This means News24 reaches one in four online South Africans.

This past year we have made the Wheels24 experience more relevant to our users. Users have welcomed our multi-media efforts such as the production of Wheels24 video clips.

Furthermore the publication of articles written by our readers proves to be hugely popular. Also, the comments facilities that we have added have also stimulated fantastic activity and given a real voice to readers.

All of this is a clear indicator that South Africans are embracing the digital revolution of Web 2.0.

Wheels24 is well-placed to continue to lead the wave of the expected surge in the growth of the South African Internet market in coming years.

In 2008 Wheels24 will again set fresh benchmarks with several new projects and ideas.

But our readers are our biggest strength and Wheels24 is about them. So, thanks to all of you!
