Yamaha gets stylish for 2013

LONDON, UK - Yamaha is preparing 2013 models by announcing enhancements to its motorcycle range.

The Japanese bike maker will launch Supersport, Adventure, Street, Cruiser, Competition and 125cc models featuring new colours, graphics and minor tweaks.

YAMAHA RACE BLU

For 2013 Yamaha will launch a new livery that uses a combination of Yamaha Blue and Matt Grey.

To celebrate the launch of the new Race-Blu Series, Yamaha will create a new-look YZR-M1 factory race bike which will be running in Race-Blu inspired livery at the MotoGP round in Misano, Italy as well as Aragon, Spain.

The YZF-R1, YZF-R6 and YZF-R125 will be the first production models to feature the new livery.

STYLE UPGRADES FOR XJ6

The 2013 XJ6 sports redesigned side panels. Being a naked model with minimal bodywork, the new-look side panels give this iconic 600 a sleek, more assertive profile. The new design also emphasises the bike's characteristic "mass-forward" layout.

The new XJ6 is also fitted with a redesigned headlight cowl.

SUPER T GETS GRAPHIC

The XT1200Z Super Ténéré Adventure bike will feature new graphics on both the competition white and the Yamaha blue variants.

Customers can also make use of the Worldcrosser kit to upgrade the standard XT1200Z Super Ténéré.

MOTOGP SCOOTER?

Yamaha and MotoGP series owners Dorna have collaborated to develop the new Xenter MotoGP scooter.

Powered by a four-stroke 125cc liquid-cooled engine, the new Xenter MotoGP is one of Yamaha’s top performers in the high wheel class. The Xenter MotoGP offers excellent road holding and stability, due to its sturdy front forks and Monocross rear suspension. For a smooth ride on uneven road surfaces, the Xenter rides on lightweight 16-inch wheels.

The high-performance scooter is equipped with a dark sports screen and a new rear carrier cover. With added wind protection from the new screen, the Xenter MotoGP offers sports style combined with practicality.

Finished in black bodywork and featuring an exclusive MotoGP and Yamaha graphics scheme, the Xenter MotoGP brings a touch of Grand Prix racing glamour to the 125cc scooter class.

Simon Belton, Yamaha’s marketing manager commented: "Yamaha’s commitment to exceeding our customers' expectations continues apace and with these refinements to our model ranges, the choices remain many and varied in the Yamaha range.

"It’s not all done. The Motorcycle show at Intermot on October 2 has some more announcements which we think will be worth hearing."
