Racy Husqy replica unveiled

Mere mortals don’t often have the opportunity to buy a perfect replica of a World championship-winning bike.

The Husqvarna TE250 Meo Replica is a welcome exception.

In many cases replica bikes are merely treated to blinged-up decals but Husqy claims the Meo Replica is identical to the bike on which Antoine Meo raced to victory in the 2010 World Enduro championship.

Right down to the smallest detail.

This special TE250 replica has been created to celebrate Meo’s success and, with a production run of only 100, is bound to become a collectors' item. The bikes' popularity will only be boosted by its decidedly affordable R90 000 price.

Top-notch bits are a given on a bike competing in the Enduro World championship and the Meo replica benefits from all that. This includes a titanium exhaust, numerous carbon-fibre bits, Kayaba USB forks and CNC triple clamps. Of course it also comes decked out with the same graphics as Meo’s bike.

THE REAL THING: Antoine Meo in action.

Many of the components are aimed squarely at shaving precious grams from its overall weight, which is why Husqvarna crafted the foot pegs, engine guard, fuel cap and oil tank cap from aluminium.

Needless to say, performance comes from the same stonking mill as you’d find in Meo’s bike – a 250cc, single-cylinder, four-stroke tuned for manic performance.

In the 2010 Enduro World championship, Meo’s TE250 raced to victory ahead of highly competitive teams from Honda and KTM.
