Valencia Moto2 preview: SA's Brad Binder - 'We had a good year but I expected a whole lot more'

Brad Binder is in Valencia for the last race of the 2018 Moto2 season.

Binder says: "This year has had a lot of disappointment in it, but it has also had some great ups.

"In general, I would say we have had a good year if you look at where we finished in the championship. But, honestly, I expected a whole lot more."

According to Brad he came into the season feeling really strong, but the first half of the year was really difficult.

"Still, to still get three wins with one race left – hopefully, I can make it four wins – that’s a pretty good year. I’m quite happy with that. I just have to build on that and go into next year stronger,” he says.

The race and the win in Australia was insane. There were so many riders fighting for first place, I felt like I was back in Moto3.

I tried to save my tyres a little bit and decided that I was going to push really hard in the last three laps to try to disappear from the madness behind me.”

Brad went to Sepang hoping he could do the same, but things in Malaysia turned out to be a little bit more difficult. Now he is in Valencia and eager to end the season on a high.
