South Africa's Moto2 rider Brad Binder reflects on his stints at the JapaneseGP and what it's like being in this fascinating place:
“We are in Japan this weekend and it is a place I have always had good memories,” explains Brad Binder. “
"In 2014, I had a podium with a third here. I was in third place in 2015, but then fell off in the rain with a couple of laps to go. In 2016, I came second. I led the whole race and they passed me on the last lap and I ended up second.”
In 2017 however Brad crashed out in the wet.

I think that’s because it is so different that it makes you want to experience it and enjoy it. I find it difficult to eat normal food here, but that’s me. It’s cool here, a great place to visit."
"One of the things that is very different here are the electronic toilets. It’s impossible not to use one. There isn’t a normal toilet seat in the country by the looks of things. I haven’t used any of the buttons on the things yet. I’m a bit wary of them…”
