SIMPLY SIMPLE: Yamaha's new Mio automatic scooter is an answer to high fuel bills and bus fares.
Yamaha's Mio scooter is now available from dealers nationwide for marginally less than R9000.

"The Mio shatters," Yamaha says, "old-fashioned ideas of affordable personal transport for the youth market by offering exceptional reassuring levels of stability and manoeuvrability."

FOUR-STROKE ENGINE

The scoot's fashion credentials, the bikemaker adds, are confirmed with "ultra-sleek bodywork and attention-to-detail styling" while its low seat height "gives novice riders a feeling of real confidence and control".

It has a four-stroke engine "that makes a litre last for ever", automatic V-belt transmission and electric start, things Yamaha sees as "mportant to students and commuters". Here's a list of the Mio's features...

• Ultra-stylish and compact look
• Ultra-reliable four-stroke engine
• Alloy wheels
• Push-button electric start with kick-start just in case...
• Step-through, stepped seat
• Superb manoeuvrability, even at low speeds
• Twist-and-go transmission
• Low maintenance and day-to-day practicality
• Under-seat storage
• Modern instrument panel
