Sporty Vespa range-topper in SA

2008-10-07 08:45

The original Italian Stallion hits SA with the more powerful GTS 300 Super version.

Embodying all the style, convenience and safety common to Vespa products, this new sports model is powered by a modern 17-kW 278cc four-stroke engine.

Its bore and stroke measure 78 and 63 mm, respectively, and this is the largest capacity yet for a Vespa engine.

The super Vespa uses CVT with a torque server.

Fuel consumption is quoted at 35 km to the litre

Following in a long line of sports Vespas dating from the 1955 Vespa GS to the 1985 Vespa T5 "Pole Position", the GTS 300 Super takes the modern Vespa and makes it more rugged.

The grille on the right-hand panel has horizontal slots, while two-tone alloys adorn the wheels.
