JOHANNESBURG, South Africa - More than 100 bikers from Crusaders MC Joburg Chapter will storm the Festa Portuguesa as part of the four-day celebration of all things Portuguese.

The event takes place on Saturday, October 26 2013 at The Park at Emperors Place in Kempton Park, just outside Johannesburg.

The Crusaders Chapter will convoy to the event to host a Biker Day Jol filled with an impressive show of machines and brotherhood.

Besides the array of chrome and customisation on show, Mustang Sally, the popular 18-wheeler music rig will also be on site.

Owner Charlie da Mota said: “My truck’s pretty well known. We’ve been on the road since ’98 taking our tunes to wherever the biking fraternity may be getting together.

“The colossal jukebox also has all the modern conveniences any free spirit could ask for, from 12 bunks, aircon, toilet facilities and the works!”

Robin da Silva from Joint Effort has been customising Harley Davidson and American V-Twins for the past 25 years and will also be at the show to share some expertise with fellow bikers.

Da Silva said: “Bikers and those curious about how to best personalise a Harley, or any American bike for that matter, can pop past and see what we’re best known for. Who knows, you may ride away on one of our beautiful creations.”

The first 2500 bikers will also, as part of their R70 entry fee, receive a commemorative metal badge.

Da Moto added: “We want to share what we do and love with everyone. You don’t have to be Portuguese to come and spend time with us. Bikers are also not as scary as many people might think.”

Tickets are available through Computicket, Box Office at Emperors Palace or @thePark and cost R70 per day for adults and R40 for students and pensioners.
