Cape Town - AMG is extending its in-house developed family of sports cars with the addition of three new members.
Boasting motor racing technology for the road and new features, Merc says the AMG GT R Coupé is “an elite athlete that delivers a breathtaking driving experience”.

Classic sports car proportions provides both the Mercedes-AMG GT Roadster and the Mercedes-AMG GT C Roadster with their bold appearances - with a very long bonnet extending far forward and a short rear end.
The wide rear wings identify the Mercedes-AMG GT C as the sportiest roadster of the model series. The AMG GT C Roadster employs technical features of the AMG GT R Coupé, including the active rear axle steering and the electronically controlled rear axle limited-slip differential.

In the entry-level model, the AMG GT Roadster, the 4.0 litre V8 biturbo unit produces 350kW. The AMG GT C Roadster has an output of 410kW/680Nm and slots in between the AMG GT S Coupé and AMG GT R Coupé.
The front-mid-engine concept with transaxle, the V8 biturbo engine rated at 430kW, the extensively modified suspension, the new aerodynamics and lightweight construction lay the vehicle’s foundations.

The AMG GT C Roadster furthermore comes complete with exclusive specification, with standard equipment including a nappa leather interior, the AMG performance steering wheel in nappa leather/dinamica microfibre and the additional drive program ‘RACE’.
For the first time, the AMG performance seats are also optionally available with airscarf neck-level heating and seat ventilation. The soft top opens and closes in approximately eleven seconds on both AMG GT Roadster variants, even when on the move at speeds up to 50 km/h.
