The route and calendar

The provisional outline route to be run, is as follows:

Day One.

Monday October 25, Vehicle scrutiny and the official welcome launch dinner at the GrandWest casino in Cape Town.

Day Two.

Tuesday October 26. Contestants leave GrandWest for the Killarney Raceway, via two anonymous time trial points.

After five racing laps at the circuit the contestants will head for George, via various anonymous time trial points. Contestants will stay over in George.

There will be a Gala Theme evening there hosted by a charity sponsor.

Day Three.

Wednesday October 27. Contestants depart from their hotel via two anonymous time trial points.

The Traffic Department is going to close off a 6 km pass for our sole purpose. It is an old redundant pass which used to link George to the Wilderness, and promises to be a really interesting racing discipline.

From there the contestants head off for the Boardwalk casino in Port Elizabeth, via various anonymous time trial pointsT including a pass that competitors have to negotiate, rather than a classical hill climb. Not for the faint hearted!.

Contestants will stay over in Port Elizabeth.

There will be a Gala Theme evening there, produced by the Boardwalk casino in aid of charity.

Day Four.

Thursday October 28. Contestants depart from the Boardwalk casino for the Aldo Scribante Raceway, via two anonymous time trial points.

After five racing laps at this circuit the contestants will head for Bloemfontein, in the Free State, via various anonymous time trial points, Colesberg and Bloemfontein.

This will be the longest day of racing, and all contestants will need all their wits about them. Contestants will stay over in Bloemfontein.

There will be a Gala Theme evening in aid of charity.

Day Five.

Friday October 29. Contestants depart from Bloemfontein for the Phakisa Raceway via two anonymous time trial points.

After five racing laps at the circuit the contestants will head for the Carnival City casino in Johannesburg, via various anonymous time trial points.

Contestants will stay over in Carnival City where there will be a Gala Theme evening produced by Carnival City casino in aid of charity.

Day Six.

Saturday October 30. Contestants will first drag race at Wesbank Raceway, and then will leave for the Auto Africa Expo at lunchtime, where there is a dedicated display where Fire Ball Run competitors will be one of the attractions, and there will also be autograph sessions.

Day Seven.

Sunday October 31. Contestants depart from their hotel via anonymous time trial points, first racing at the Kyalami Raceway, in the morning, and then heading off for Sun City casino, via Pretoria and various anonymous time trial points.

Contestants will stay over in Sun City, and will have the Prize Giving there, in the evening.

Day Eight.

Monday November 1. Competitors not leaving after the prize giving on the Sunday night will depart during the course of the morning.
