Nissan announced at Auto Africa that we can expect to see the 350Z in the second half of 2003.
The 350Z has a 3.5-litre V6 power train with an output of 215kW. Top speed is limited to 250km/h and the car goes from 0-100km/h in 5.5 seconds.
This two-seater performance car also features a 6-speed manual gearbox or a 5-speed automatic transmission with manual shift mode.
Global off-road
All three vehicles that Nissan will use for international off-road racing will be built in South Africa.
One of the Nissans will be driven by Giniel de Villiers, which means that a South African will be competing in the much-acclaimed Paris-Dakar race.
