The second A1 GP event is taking place at Euro Speedway on Sunday.
Scheckter who made name for himself in the IndyCar Series is the son of former F1 champion Jodie Scheckter.
Team owner Tokyo Sexwale remains supportive of the team: "We look forward to our A1 Team South Africa flying the South African flag high and proud on behalf of all South Africans."
Stephen Simpson, who raced for South Africa at the inaugural race at Brands Hatch two weeks ago, will be the number two driver on Sunday.
South Africa finished an impressive sixth place at the first race after Simpson started at the back of the 25-car grid.
