accreditation

The Jeep Wrangler Extreme Sport edition boasts the addition of graphite painted fender flares and extensions, 15-inch graphite painted alloy wheels, a silver centre stack and instrument cluster bezel, and two-tone cloth bucket seats in dark slate and khaki with the Jeep logo embroidered in the seat back.

Significantly, the Jeep Wrangler Extreme Sport also matches a premium 7-speaker sound system ? including a subwoofer ? to the standard front-loading CD/AM/FM radio and is only available in Bright Silver Metallic.

One of Wrangler's key features is its versatile hard top/soft top configuration.

"This limited edition Jeep Wrangler Extreme Sport is tailor-made to the individual who places uniqueness and excitement at the top of his list of motoring priorities," explains Trent Barcroft, Chrysler and Jeep divisional manager at DCSA.

According to Guy Franken, marketing manager of Chrysler Jeep the Wrangler has consistently improved its sales rate in South Africa over the past four years.

"In 2001, Wrangler sales amounted to 129 vehicles but this increased by an astronomical 60.5% in 2002 to 207 units," says Franken.

"Another 39% increase in 2003 saw sales rise to 288 units and the upward trend is expected to continue with approximately 360 units forecast for 2004."

The Jeep Wrangler Extreme Sport retails for R209 900 and there will only be 25 models available for sale.

The price includes a 3-year/60 000km bumper-to-bumper warranty as well as a 3-year/60 000km scheduled services plan.
