Honda has previewed the NSX concept that it will unveil at the Geneva auto show and the key to its battle to be number one in fuel economy “within three years”.
It is hoped the NSX Concept will continue the legacy of the original, which was discontinued in 2005. The concept highlights the design and technology that Honda’s next supercar will adopt.
The mid-engined concept features a V6 engine and will employ a number of new technologies including the Sport Hybrid SH-AWD (Super Handling All Wheel Drive).

Also high on Honda’s list of Geneva debuts is its Earth Dreams Technology.
The 1.6-litre turbodiesel is the first in a new generation of engines being introduced over the next three years.
Honda says the new generation engine series will deliver “excellent performance and environmental values” to enable the automaker to become number one in fuel economy within three years.
These engines will be rolled out throughout the product range, starting with the Civic from late 2012. The 1.6-litre engine produces 88kW at 4000rpm and 300Nm at 2000rpm and, according to Honda, emits less than 100g/km of CO2.
