The Taycan will forever be etched into Porsche's history books as the brand's first electric vehicle when it was introduced in 2019. Now, the German automaker has turned up the wick considerably with the current iteration of the Taycan Turbo GT.
From breaking multiple lap records to its improved powertrain, there's much to unpack about the Taycan Turbo GT. Here's all you need to know about how much it costs and when it will officially go on sale.
Starting with the good stuff: Both the Taycan Turbo GT and Taycan Turbo GT with Weissach package make the same amount of power (580kW and 1 340Nm) as standard, thanks to a new motor on the rear axle and a 900-ampere pulse inverter that controls the electric motor. With launch control and two seconds of overboost, the power figure can rise to 815kW.
