TOYOTA'S V8 NEARLY READY

While Honda, and more recently Mercedes-Benz, won the race to first run their new machines, all manufacturers - like Cosworth, who expect a 20 000 r/min engine - are ramping up development for next year.

Mike Gascoyne said the Toyota V8 will hit the track in July.

"We've been running it on the dyno," the technical director revealed at Monaco, "and it's progressing pretty well." -GMM
