RALF PENALISED

accreditation

The German will have half a second added to his ultimate qualifying time after yet another 'human error' mistake at Toyota tyre supplier Michelin.

In pre-race (Paul Ricard) testing McLaren's Alex Wurz had a huge crash because a Michelin technician fitted a rear tyre the wrong way round.

And, according to reports, 29-year-old Ralf's car ran in Thursday practice at Monaco with a front tyre that was not officially allocated to him.

Another Michelin technician had changed the tyre after it was found to be marked incorrectly, but failed to tell the stewards.

Toyota and Michelin accepted the penalty. -GMM
