An anonymous Wheels24 reader sent in a video of a biker riding his motorcycle, with his dog comfortably cradled behind the windshield earlier in September 2013. Many readers have written in to complain and also cheer in this love of best friends.
Wheels24 reader BERNHARD VAN ZYL has a different point issue and wrote: Ek sien dit meer gereeld en die base van die honde het die hond geleer, deeglik geleer om so saam te ry op die motorfiets. Die hond geniet dit, terdee anders sou al lankal afgespring het! Die “bikers”, almal wat ek al gesien het, ry stadig wanneer hy/sy so met die hond ry.
Hoekom se niemand niks oor die verstandlose, gevoelose mense wat honde binne n motor toesluit sonder water en nog minder n ruit wat effens oop is sodat die hond wat verskriklik gou warm kry en deur sy tong afkoel in die oop lug soos n dier, kan asem kry? Dan gaan sit die ding draak by n restaurant vir ure en nutteloos vir die bestaan wees!
Hier is teveel mense wat verveelig is met hulself en iets soek om voor raak gesien te word en doen dit deur oor enige iets en iemand te kla!
Translation: I see it more often and the owners of these dogs have thoroughly taught them to ride with them like this on motorcycles. The dog obviously enjoys it while other dogs would have jumped off long ago.
The biker, the ones I’ve seen, drives slowly when their dogs ride with them in this fashion.
Why doesn’t anyone say anything about the foolish, unsympathetic people who leave their dogs locked up in cars without water or even a slightly open window for air, so that the dog who gets hot so quickly can cool down? Yet these culprits go and sit at restaurants for hours, ignorant and careless.
There are too many people who are bored and who are looking for reasons to be noticed by complaining about anything and everyone.
