Wheels24 reader LOMBARD DELPORT spotted this second-generation Mercedes-Benz GLK in Clarens, Free State undergoing testing and took some shots for Wheels24.
Delport said: “The photo was taken at the Golden Gate Nature Reserve near Clarens in the eastern Free State. I believe it to be the second-generation Mercedes-Benz GLK. “
SUV ASSAULT
The new GLK, built on the same architecture as the C-Class, will be larger than its predecessor courtesy of a longer wheelbase and increased width. The second-generation GLK, with right-hand drive capability for the first time, will be launched in 2015.
The Mercedes-Benz SUV/4x4 line-up includes the G-Class, GL, ML and the new GLA.
The MLC, a rival for the BMW X6, could be revealed later in 2014 along with a facelifted ML. The GLC, set to compete with new BMW X4, will be launched in 2015.
