Irresponsible parents ‘drive me mad’

SCHOOL PARKING CHAOS: Wheels24 reader CARA WOOLLACOTT says that drivers who ignore pedestrian crossing near schools, should be punished. Image: SHUTTERSTOCK

Wheels24 reader CARA WOOLLACOTT believes the rules of the road should be enforced not just outside schools during drop-off/pick-up times but in general in SA.

While I agree that the illegal parking is a concern, parents driving badly at schools is not an issue for me.

It‘s the parents who ignore the one-way rule (even though there are signs put out) and those parents who stop in the road (double-park) to drop their children.  When it rains it is even worse!

Drivers who speed down the road, ignoring speed bumps and pedestrian crossings, drive me mad.

I wish there was a way to enforce the rules of the road, not just outside schools but in general in SA.
