Indicators: Just for flash?

I’m writing this to you out of real concern. I’m very worried about the quality of what I term "luxury vehicles" in the Eastern Cape. One of the reasons I’m writing to you is that maybe this lack of quality extends beyond our little EC region.

I've noticed that the newest vehicles (mine’s a 2008 model so seems to be fine) have come off the factory floor without indicators. I’m not sure if the manufacturers have considered this a cost-saving or if perhaps this feature comes out as an extra-cost option on the vehicle but there don’t seem to be too many vehicles on the road that have been fitted with flickers.

ANYBODY KNOW ANYTHING?

I know some of them have been fitted (because the work) but the sensors seem to be a bit out of sync as they only come on once the vehicle has actually turned the corner or changed lanes.

I wonder if perhaps you know of a mechanic or salesman who could possibly put my concerns to rest. On a more cheerful note, we really don’t have a chance to get bored driving to and from work what with having to anticipate a "luxury vehicle" turning the corner in front of you.

Anyway, just expressing my concerns...
