Dive into history
The guys at Car Dealer Reviews produced and excellent infographic showcasing the fastest cars through the decades.
According to Shaun Whitehill, head of Car Dealer Reviews, said: "Due to the nature of our business we are of course heavily interested in cars, considering ourselves as pretty big petrol heads.
"We like to dive into their history as well as keeping up with current industry trends, and for this piece we wanted to explore their ever present need to reach breakneck speeds.
"We scoured the net for recorded top speeds, ranging from The Benz Motorwagen in the 1880's with a meagre 16km/h top end, to the obscenely fast Hennessey Venom GT, the current reigning champion with the capabilities to hit 434km/h."
