Movie: Baby Driver
Director: Edgar Wright

Cape Town - For Baby, played by Ansel Elgort, committing Grand Theft Auto was a way of life but after years of being Doc’s (Kevin Spacey) only getaway driver, the young lad finds himself growing a conscious and seeking a way out. If only it was that easy…

The new action film 'Baby Driver' hits local cinemas on August 4 and could be a treat for SA petrolheads.

Great movie for petrolheads

'Baby Driver' is a refreshing take on the archetype 'getaway driver' theme. It is not as dark nor intense as 'Fast and the Furious' but instead evokes empathy from viewers as Baby tries his best to leave criminal life.

In the process, he needs to protect the new woman in his life. A feat that proves to be a lot more challenging than anticipated.

For car aficionados there is an abundance of vehicular action in the form of crazy car chases. The special effects are not over the top and the chase scenes will have you on the edge of your seat.

The cars Baby drives:

 • 1987 Chevrolet Caprice
 • 2002 Ford F-Series Super Duty
 • 2006 Subaru Impreza WRX
 • 2007 Chevrolet Avalanche
 • 2007 Saturn Aura
 • 2014 Toyota Corolla
 • 2015 Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat
 • 2016 Mercedes-Benz S-Class
