China - You've probably seen cars crash into other vehicles, roadside barriers even smash into traffic lights but how often do you witness a vehicle landing on the rooftop of a house?
CCTV footage captured the moment a driver of a Honda CR-V lost control, careered off-road and landed on top of a house.
The incident, uploaded on YouTube by CCTV+, occurred in Taizhou city of east China’s Jiangsu Province.
Pedal error
The driver was attempting to avoid a collision with an oncoming vehicle and was travelling about 70km/h when the crash occurred.
The driver said he accidentally hit the accelerator instead of applying the brakes and swerved towards the house. The SUV can be seen hanging precariously on a rooftop.
A crane was used to remove the SUV.
