The 4x4 specialist has announced the launch of a limited-edition version for its Compass - called the Altitude. The Altitude moniker stems from a competition that was run following the launch of the Jeep Grand Cherokee concept vehicle at the Houston motor show early in 2012. CUSTOMIZED LOOKWith more than 100 000 entries from enthusiasts of the Jeep brand, which boasts more than 2-million Facebook fans, the Altitude emerged as the winning vehicle name.The new limited-edition model continues the “from-the-factory” customised look first seen in the Grand Cherokee concept shown in January 2012.A distinctive black gloss finish surrounds the Compass’ trademark seven-slot Jeep grille and head lights. The design continues with black roof rails and a black step pad.
