Cape Town - At the end of 2015, arguably two of the best car videos were published; British motoring publication Evo's brilliant 2015 Car of the Year (COTY) video and Top Gear host Chris Harris' hypercar shoot-out were the perfect climax to a bonkers year in performance motoring.
Evo's clip, nearly 30 minutes long, was shot in Scotland and featured cars including: Lamborghini Aventador LP750-4 SV, McLaren 675LT, Porsche 991 GT3 RS, Porsche Cayman GT4, Honda Civic Type R, Ferrari 488 GTB , Chevrolet Camaro Z/28 and the Mercedes-AMG GT S.
The GT3 RS was picked as the winner. You can watch it here if you have a half hour to spare.
2016 COTY teaser
In October, Evo has released a teaser of its 2016 COTY and it looks positively epic! It selected "the 12 best performance cars of 2016" which will be tested by seven judges, over five days covering just over 16 000km.
Some of the cars up for the illustrious title include: Audi R8 V10 Plus, BMW M2, BMW M4 GTS, Ford Focus RS, McLaren 570S, Honda NSX, Volkswagen Clubsport S and the Porsche 911 R.
It will premier on November 23 on the publication's YouTube channel.
