SAC trucks managing director, Hein Lategan, says the new Bakkie Centre, "Recognises South Africa’s love of bakkies and SUVs and the growing lifestyle and leisure market.

"By focussing on a small number of vehicles from well known brands, including vehicles such as the Toyota Fortuner &and Hilux, Ford Ranger, Isuzu KB and VW Amarok, the centre can offer a one-stop-shop to the owners of these vehicles. This includes vehicle maintenance and servicing, performance enhancement and dyno tuning, and the fitment of off road and leisure equipment and specialist advice."

SAC says it has partnered with the off-road and lifestyle specialists at Safari Centre 4x4. This means that the new SAC Bakkie Centre not only offers vehicle maintenance and performance enhancement services but also a comprehensive range of off-road conversion equipment and accessories and the technical expertise to fit this equipment.

Lategaan says: “SAC has become a lifestyle which is expressed in both work and leisure. We cater for both the truck owner that needs to keep his vehicles operational as well as the customer who wants to enjoy his vehicle or bakkie during his free time.”

According to the tuning company, the SAC brand also means that bakkie and SUV owners who service and upgrade their vehicles at the new centre will have all the benefit of the company's affiliation with Unichip and Powerplug for performance enhancements and the peace of mind of the company’s ‘Why Worry Warranty’ that guarantees all service parts and workmanship.

A warning to bakkie and SUV owners wanting to add aftermarket modifications to their vehicle - Depending on the automaker, fitting non-standard equipment to your vehicle could void your warranty.
