Jeep Wrangler gets a facelift

Jeep, in its own words, continues to refine its Wrangler and for 2011, the off-roader gets an all-new interior and a useful body-coloured hard top.

Nothing changes mechanically, but the Wrangler cabin gets a welcome spruce up. Jeep says the interior’s upgraded surfaces are more pleasant to touch, although a redesigned instrument panel and new storage areas with better ergonomics should also be welcome.

The steering wheel now has satellite controls for the audio system with USB capabilities, and the cruise control and Bluetooth functions.

Chrysler wants to inject “a more premium appearance” into its Wrangler range and, for its efforts, has added a new body-coloured removable hard top to the models. New colours are available for the range, too.

Chrysler SA won't say when the facelifted vehicles will be introduced in South Africa.
