London - Land Rover's fifth-generation Discovery will be unveiled at the 2016 Paris auto show.

Ahead of its official reveal Land Rover has released a few teaser images.

Gerry McGovern, Land Rover’s Chief Design Officer, said: “New Discovery redefines the large SUV. Land Rover’s design and engineering teams have revolutionised the Discovery DNA to create a highly desirable, extremely versatile and hugely capable premium SUV.”

The new Discovery

Fortunately for fans, rather than releasing an obscure close-up, the automaker has revealed a full, albeit CGI, front view of its fifth-generation 4x4.

The images reveal that the seven-seat Discovery borrows design elements from the Discovery Sport and and Range Rover Evoque.

The automaker says that its new Discovery is every bit as capable as its forebears though with enhanced versatility and technology.
