Martorell - Spanish automaker SEAT posed the following question to volunteers as part of its latest car challenge: Can you drive around in a vehicle with all the windows covered up?
Volunteer Stefan, a German tourist asked:"Completely covered? No, I don’t think it can.”
"Would you like to give it a try?” the Seat representative responded.“Of course I would!” he responded.
360-degree camera
The volunteer was led to a Seat Ateca at a closed urban circuit. Stefan could only navigate via the centre screen, which offers a 360o view around the car courtesy of four cameras. A top view image is shown inside, this is especially useful when maneuvering into a parking space.
Stefan, joined by an instructor in the front passenger seat, said: “All you have to do is drive within the lines. This is great! I can’t see a thing outside but it works!”
