Germany - A Porsche dealership in Eidelstedt, Hamburg was set alight on Thursday morning (July 6), burning at least 10 cars to a crisp as a result, with another two damaged due to close proximity of the flames.
Caused by possible arson
The fire was said to have been as a result of alleged arson, which left the luxury car dealership ablaze.
Reports in the German media suggest the incident took place in the early hours of the morning causing damages in excess of R15-million.
Dozens of firefighters reportedly rushed to the scene, but it was already too late for what looked like to be brand new Porsche cars, including a 911, 718 Boxsters and possibly a Cayenne.
Under investigation
With the G20 Summit set to commence in Hamburg this weekend, reports say the police are looking into whether the fire was linked to vandalism with the protest action at the summit.
