SA fans react to Clarkson's Joburg-bound Grand Tour

Cape Town - Former Top Gear presenters, Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond and James May revealed that first episode of their new show, The Grand Tour, will be filmed in South Africa.

South African fans of the motoring trio reacted to the new via social media.

Headed for Joburg

Clarkson announced the name of their new show in May 2016. Each episode in the series would be filmed at a different location around the world.

Filmed inside a "big tent", the new show will retain the 'audience-participation' element from Top Gear, allowing SA fans to interact with the presenters.

Streaming service Amazon Prime said via a statement that filming would take place on July 17 in Johannesburg.
