Mi Casa joins Mercedes-Benz SA as ambassadors

Johannesburg - After just five years of forming their house band Mi Casa, the Johannesburg-based trio continue making great sounds in the music arena.

With unforgettable hits such as their number one single “These Streets”, and many other hits including Jika, Tulale Fofofo and Don’t wanna be your friend, the award-winning group has become one of South Africa’s most loved bands in the genre of Deep House, Soulful House and Jazz.

Appealing talent

Now the formidable trio have become the latest friends of the Mercedes-Benz brand. Speaking at the official announcement on October 14, Selvin Govender, marketing director for the brand confirmed the sponsorship and handed over three luxury Mercedes-Benz vehicles to the jubilant band members, J’Something, Dr. Duda and Mo-T.

Govender says: “We are delighted to have this association with Mi Casa as their talent appeals to a wide target audience - which includes a good proportion of a trendy generation that aspires to be associated with our brand.

“The trio are extremely social and entertaining and are quite active on social networks. With numerous festival appearances, they reach audiences of hundreds of thousands of fans and their philosophy; “We are nothing without the people”, relates to our customer centric approach to our business.

"We have various marketing activations planned for Mi Casa, and their engaging style and music renditions will keep our customers and fans entertained for some time to come with this fresh and new approach."

Focusing on skills, talents

Govender adds: “J’Something has a keen following in the culinary world, and these synergies will go a long way in promoting our fine dining activities through various customer and dealership activities.  J’Something is becoming known as a brand himself, and we wish him well as he drives forward with his passion of music and the culinary arts.

“We are excited to see Dr. Duda and Mo-T progressing in their musical career. As a young generation of insanely talented musicians promoting their skills with hard work and dedication, we all recognise their achievements over the years, and look forward to exploring their explosive talent at various events promoted by Mi Casa."
